Courage is doing what you must do in light of the circumstances
and despite the consequences. Since God has not given us the spirit of fear, there can be no courage where there is no faith.

Courage is certainly an act of faith.
Sometimes it is hard finding that courage in light of the circumstances one is going through. How does one get the courage when they are afraid of making a decision. They don't want to make the wrong one and fail. Failure can really stunt the growth of one's character and then doubt develops. Can someone out there share their insight on courage and decision making please. Thanks!!!!
If we really dig down and check out what it is that makes us afraid to make a decision in any circumstance, we might find that it is not making the wrong decision (failing) that's
stunting our growth. I found out that for me it was the fear of embarrassment, shame, (the father of which I believe is false pride) before others. Not wanting others to know that I wasn't perfect. They knew.
When I made a mistake when no one was around it was no big thing. That same mistake in front of other people was became a terrible failure. I found that I was much much too concerned about what others thought about me. I personally think this embarrassment and shame when I failed led me to try to control what others thought about instead just being candid and letting people see my flaws. They saw them anyway, just as I saw theirs. Remember, there is no such thing as not making decisions. Either we make decisions for ourselves or we make the decision to let someone else (who may or may not have our best interest in mind), make decisions for us. either way we make the decisions. Very best to you. Capnsam
Courage sees no mistakes. It magnifies convictions of the heart. Decisions are thorns. They prick away at you until you make a choice.
